Jundiaí, city in southeastern Brazil, in São Paulo State, near São Paulo. Grapes, coffee, timber, and grains are produced in the area, and an annual grape festival is held here. Manufactures include steel, textiles, wine, hardboard, cement, and pottery. Tungsten is mined nearby. Goods are shipped by rail to the port of Santos on the Atlantic Ocean. The city was founded in 1655; the name was formerly spelled Jundiahy.
