Lake Geneva, city, Walworth County, southeastern Wisconsin, on Lake Geneva and the White River; incorporated 1886. It is a fashionable summer and winter resort. The community began to develop in the 1840s when it became a stop on a stagecoach route between Kenosha and Beloit. Its main growth dates from the 1870s.
