Mr Bill's 1402 S.E. Everett Mall Way - 425.355.7000 Recommended Dishes:Top Platter, The Fonz, French Toast Combo, Onion Rings Review:This is a fun restaurant. It is in a 50's-style setting, with posters and records and signs decorating the walls. All of the dishes are huge: be sure you are hungry! I haven't had a bad meal yet, both breakfasts and lunchs/dinners are amazing. The waiters/waitresses are all pleasant and quick, and if you sit at the bar [not a drinking bar, there is a separate lounge for that], you can watch the cooks flip burgers and make salads. They can be quite entertaining, but once you get your food, you'll wonder how to finish it. If it doesn't seem like a lot of food to begin with, after a few minutes, you won't know what to do with yourself. It is so good you want to finish, but your stomach sets its own limit! They have numerous shakes and malts, but I believe the onion rings are one of their best assets. Go try them!!
Alligator Soul 2013 1/2 Hewitt Avenue - 425.259.6311 Recommended Dishes:Bread pudding Jambalaya Review:Friday music was great The special trout entree was wonderful and the bourbon bread pudding was the best. Review:JAMBALAYA!!! Hilbo and the gang at Alligator Soul serve up the Jambalaya (all you can eat) with corn bread and corn salad. Fortunately it's never the same twice, and always DELICIOUS! Review:Crunchy Chicken Gumbo As many times as I have been there, I always have a battle with my better judgement in trying anything else on the menu. This dish is stupendous. Begin with the fiery shrimp appetizer but beware, not for the faint of taste bud. Review:Flies in your soup? We love Alligator Soul, but on Friday, August 23, 2002, we went to dinner with out of town guests to treat them to a great dinner. One of our guests ordered the Shrimp Creole, which was wonderful until she found a fly in it. She made light of the situation to the waitress, but when the bill came we were not compensated in any way. When I called to talk to managment the next day about the situation, I was told that yesterday is yesterday and that it was too bad. I would have confronted the situation at the time of the bill but didn't want to make a scene around other diners. When I called I asked for Hiobo and was told he was busy so I asked to talk to the manager; the person on the phone said she was the manager and also was our waitress. I think this is very poor customer service, and although I love the restaurant, the music, and the atmosphere, I am totally appalled at the service; and not only that, we left her a nice tip. Review:Outstanding! My new favorite!
El Puerto Mexican Restaurant - Everett 6309 Evergreen Way - 425.353.9157 Recommended Dishes:chicken Fajitas Review:El Puerto Dim atmosphere makes for a bar like feel. Food is okay, not great. Their sister restaurant El Puerto in Edmonds, is the best Mexican on the west coast. Not sure what happened to the Everett counter-part. I do know they have different management.
