Ipanema Cafe 917 W Grace Street - 804.213.0170 Cuisine: American Review:Don't Miss Great atmosphere and great food. Service is friendly and you won't be disappointed by visiting this cafe. They do not have a printed menu, so menu items change daily. While mostly vegetarian, they do offer some non vegetarian dishes.

Village Cafe 1001 W Grace St - 804.353.8204 Cuisine: Cafe / Coffee Shop Review:Popular Student Hangout Being only one block from Virginia Commonwealth University, The Village is a common hangout for students, and other interesting characters. The food is good, I have enjoyed every item I have ever had there. While the restaurant stays open until 2 am, they only serve food until midnight Monday - Thursday, and 1 am Friday - Sunday.
821 Bakery Cafe 821 W Cary St - 804.649.1042 Recommended Dishes: grilled tuna sandwich Any sandwich Review:I called to place an order for delivery 1 1/2 hours ago. The food is still not here. Can you believe that? I guess those guys didn't really follow through with their deliverry idea when they passed all those fliers around. I give them 2 more months before they go by the wayside. Review:the best place in town I eat here every other day! With a resturant like this being busy is a norm. It is a shame. You must have been there on a off day. The food is great ( burgers and fries /americana) I love It and give six stars. Review:big meals great prices I've eaten at the 821 about 20 times in the past 2 years, the food has always been hot, huge, and delicious. Excellent range of golden beverages.
Chopstix 3129 W. Cary St. - 804.358.7127 Kid Friendly Cuisine: Vietnamese Review:Vietnamese food This is a very good Vietnamese restaurant that is not all that expensive. Although it isn't the best in the world, in the context of Richmond's Vietnamese selection it is at the top of its class. The setting is small, but not too much so. I would most likely recommend this for lunch than dinner.
Joe's Inn 205 N Shields Ave - 804.355.2282 $5.01 - $15 Cuisine: American Review:Longtime Neighborhood Eatery Popular enough to open a second restaurant on the Southside. Good basic food from spaghetti to sandwiches. Fun, casual atmosphere with booth seating and the flair of the Fan. Serves breakfast all day.

Review:taste of the big city in small town the food is great and the price is too. more importantly are the waitresses and bartender's - nobody makes you feel more at home. i could go there with my grandmother, my drag friends, my father or anyone! Review:Lousy I have frequented both the 3rd St. and 4th St. diners and 3rd St. comes out the loser. Sure, the waitresses are hot and the place used to be a morgue, but the food ALWAYS sucks. At 3 AM on a Saturday night, at their busiest time, I understand service will be slow. I still want good food, eventually, and I go to 4th St. instead for it.

Red Lobster 6827 Midlothian Tpke - 804.276.3800 Review:Lobster is in your name but it is not your game. We went to the Red Lobster on Midlothian Turnpike (in Richmond,VA) last night and we ordered what we always order(African lobster tail) and we told the waiter, Jose, to positively make sure it was done(not pearly). We told him to cook it extra if necessary. Anyway they flunked the course. PLS shape the cooks up with extra training if necessary. Maybe they don't sell enough lobster to get the hang of it. It's a chronic problem.
