Probably the only Central Texas to be reviewed in both the New York Times AND the Washington Post. Bob and Kay Moore's wonderful, funky Texas-Korean fusion is a Waco landmark. The best burgers in town ... but the Korean food (especially the legendary Oriental Fries) is stellar. Worth the drive off the highway. Ask any native!

Though the name says 'steakhouse' it's my personal secret that Outback has the freshest and best tasting fish in town.

Imagine my horror to see a Picadilly Cafeteria where Underwoods used to be. And they had all these signs up saying "Dilly is back" like they were proud of it. And the parking lot was packed. What idiots! I guess if I want some Underwoods I'll have to drive to Brownwood for homecoming.

Review:One of Waco's best two or three restaurants As an old food critic, I'm tough on restaurants. This place is a joy. Gracious service, large portions, ambitious menu. The food is consistently on par with the best places in Dallas and Austin. In just a year or so, it has become one of the city's favorite restaurants. Review:Dee Mak Mak!!! Doesn't look like much from the street and interior is a bit sparse, but the authentic Thai food is absolutely great! I've been to the top-rated Thai restaurants in Dallas, Austin and Houston - all had nicer surroundings, but the best Thai food in Texas is surprisingly in Waco at Bangkok Royal. Actually its as good as any of the numerous restaurants I've eaten at in Thailand.
