Joe's Crab Shack 5802 W Loop 289 - 806.797.8600 Cuisine: Seafood Recommended Dishes:Chicken pasta (I don't like seafood) Review:What Incredible Service I am not a big seafood fan, but was convinced to visit Joe's anyway. All I can say is that the staff made the visit memorable. The nicest (and cutest) of everyone was the host, Matt. He was so polite and has just the cutest smile! I'll be sure to go back over and over, especially if Matt is there to say hello!
Chez Suzette 4423 50th St - 806.795.6796 $5.01 - $15 Intimate decor. Romantic atmosphere. Italian food. Good choice of wines and desserts. Cuisine: Italian Recommended Dishes:Tomato basil soup, and any cheesecake. Review:Best Italian in Town Chez Suzette is one of the best restaurants in Lubbock, especially for romantic dinners. The atmosphere is intimate and quiet, with most tables seating 4 or fewer people. It has the best tomato basil soup in town, rich with cream and very tangy. Follow up with a great piece of chilled cheesecake, and you will go home very happy.
50 Yard Line Restaurant 2549 S Loop 289 - 806.745.3991 Cuisine: American Recommended Dishes:Any size filet, lobster, fish Review:Excellent I was very impressed with the way the meal is set up. First our waiter brought us a relish tray with olives, green onions, and pickles. Then he brought us a french onion soup (very good)and there was an enormous cracker basket on the table with many types of crackers. Then we were able to order and I ordered a 10 ounce Filet, medium. This steak was so tender and juicy and there was so much flavor, I have to give it a perfect 10! There was a baked potato topped generously with all the trimmings as well as a basket full of cheese rolls and mini blueberry muffinis (to die for) which our waiter told us was the house specialty. I didn't have an appetizer or desert so I have no comments on those. Review:Presentation. The food is always very good. But the presentation has something to be desired. With all the business this restaurant does, why do they still have banquet tables? Why do they serve the side sauces in plastic throw away cups? One thing I really would have liked with my dinner was a baked sweet potato, and it wasn,t on the menu.
