Angelo's Barbecue 2533 White Settlement Rd - 817.332.0357 $5.01 - $15 Signature offerings are ribs and brisket. Casual dining; order and pick up food at the counter. Sides are hefty and very good. Beer available; no desserts. Cuisine: Barbecue Recommended Dishes: Anything RIBS Ribs, Sliced Beef, potato salad Review:BBQ Rubs We picked up some of your Dry Rubs last year on vacation from the Seattle area and it is great- plus easy to use. Review:It gets no better than this. Avoid the huge stuffed bear in the entryway and prepare yourself for the best barbecue you've ever tasted. I have seen grown men shed tears of joy over Angelo's barbecue. Even if you order the cheapie chopped beef sandwich (get it on rye bread), you'll find it's simply wonderful. I try to visit Angelo's every time I come within 50 miles of Fort Worth. Review:Pure Fort Worth Angleo George graduated from North Side High School in 1938. After WWII he started cookin' BBQ and serving it in a one room place on White Settlement Road. Now it's a huge complex serving some really great food. You'll love it. Review:Wonderful I prefer Angelo's BBQ over any other BBQ place. You will not find a flavor like this anywhere else. VERY fast service; even better food. Their potato salad is the only one I'll eat. I love it.

Italian Inn-Ridglea 6323 Camp Bowie Blvd. - 817.732.1571 Romantic Cuisine: Italian Recommended Dishes:Tortellini ala Panna (veal tortellini with mushrooms and alfredo sauce), Linguine & Clam sauce Review:Superb. My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant on a Saturday night, prior to prom. The wonderful reputation of the Italian Inn precedes them and has indeed been earned; the food, service, and ambiance were all exceptional. Soft music was continually emanating from the nucleus of the dimly lit dining room; the singing servers never hit a dissonant note. There are small booths that can be closed off, creating a romatic aura. Previous diners sign their names on the seats and walls and leave myriad messages and pictures. The service was indeed speedy and discreet, the employees seem to know that most closed booths contain starry-eyed young kids like us nuzzling and feeding each other chocolate cheesecake (hehe). I had been to the Italian Inn before and had the alfredo primavera, which was divine. No canned sauces here--it tastes of real cream. On Saturday, I had a similar dish--veal tortellini with alfredo sauce, which was also delicious. My beau had linguine and clam sauce--and I even loved *that*, despite the fact that I'm loath to eat much seafood. Both dishes were served hot. Overall, this is a lovely restaurant and you'd be doing your loved ones a favor by bringing them here.

Contemporary setting with an extensive menu. Cuisine: Thai Recommended Dishes:Angry Chicken Review:Great Thai Food! I have never had Thai food that was more authentic than Bangkok city. The food is spicy and spicier for the daring. The Thai tea is a must! This restaurant is simple and quaint with odd decor but the food is simply fantastic!
Cabo 115 W. 2nd - 817.348.8226 $5.01 - $15 When you first walk into Cabo, you might think you are in a diner. But look again... you are in an upscale Mexican seafood shack that claims to serve "Mix-Mex" cuisine. Cuisine: Mexican Recommended Dishes:yellowfin tuna and the smokey salsa Review:Good Food, Not so Good Service I have no complaints about the food at Cabo, but each time I have visited, the service has left little to be desired. My favorite dish is the smokey-grilled yellowfin tuna (and I don't like fish!). Cooked to perfection! Be sure and try the overpriced chips and smokey salsa, too.

Cuisine: Cafe / Coffee Shop Recommended Dishes:Stick with coffee and pastries. Red Beans 'n Rice Chocolate chip cookies -- not the packaged kind! Review:Good Josh Almighty Music - very good bluegrass gospel. Amniance - offset stage is annoying and the ugly curtains need to go. Food - good coffee and fair dishes to snack on. Atmosphere - a bit cramped; Jean is definitely an overbearing presence. Review:Great Place to be on the Weekends
Review:Just Relax A good 'ol Southwest Mission with a mission. Just come on in relax and have as much coffee as you can stand. It is like having a concert in your living room -- without the couches. Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse 812 Main - 817.877.3999 $30.01 - $50 Restored 1890s digs and rich, upscale trim get you in steak-eating mood. Veal and seafood play supporting role to huge, excellent steaks; seafood soup and sauteed mushrooms also impressed. Desserts are not for the faint of heart. --GuideLive.com Cuisine: Steaks Recommended Dishes: Rib Eye, Wedge Salad w/blue cheese (House Salad with Avacado Ranch is also great), spinach & artichoke cassarole Review:Just a bad night?
Review:Awsome I enjoyed my first experience here, and will be returning as often as my schedule will allow. It was our waiter's first day, but he provided excellent service nonetheless, and the bartender was great. It is disheartening to hear ChefDJ's experience was so poor, but I am definately on the other end of the spectrum on this one.... Review:Cheap Steak, High Dollar

I have grown up in and out of the South West and Blue Mesa's food is simply not something that I can recommend. Last time I went I had ordered a southwestern sampler which was simple an arrangement of foods that was absolutly nauseating. Review:OKAY, BUT NOT RECOMMENDED

Review:Anyone for Bloody Chicken? I visited this restaurant on a Monday evening in January '03. The free food at Happy Hour was wonderful. Meal time was a different story. I ordered the '5 Flavor Chicken' dish. The chicken was flavorful and the pasta yummy, until I cut into the last piece of chicken. It had a huge bone in it and was bleeding. Yuck! I notified the waitress and the manager came by to let me know that I would receive a discount. When I got the check, I realized she had only taken off 50% of the chicken dish, which was approximately $5.00. Most good managers of restaurants either comp your meal or at least comp the full price of the nasty meal. I was very unhappy with the service and compensation for what probably was an infected chicken (Salmonella) that could have given me food poisoning.
La Playa Maya at the Stockyards 1540 N. Main St. - 817.624.8411 Cuisine: Mexican Recommended Dishes:pina coladas Review:OK Food is over-rated. It's either too spicy hot or bland. Staff makes a lot of mistakes. My father-in-law asked for club soda, and the waitress brought him a Coke. Then she brought him a Diet Coke. Then she had to ask another waitress what club soda was. Then came back to ask my father-in-law what club soda was. Another time, my husband told the waiter he wanted a Budweiser and the waiter said, "Ok, one Coors Light".
