About 3-4 times a year we get the cravings for some of Pier 99 seafood! The family platter is a HUGE amount of food and for about $40 ($25.99 plus drinks, tax and tip) you can feed a family of 4. There's fried fish, shrimp, oysters, hush puppies, french fries, cole slaw, corn and condiments piled high on a platter that almost fills the table. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it! Thank heavens we are heading that way THIS weekend! Oh yeah, the staff is great. The atmosphere is casual, funky and friendly. Another plus is that it is close to the Texas State Aquarium and The Lexington. Make sure to park in their lot or put plenty of money in the meter! We ended up paying a parking fine but it was still worth it!

The mexican food is out of this world and we also love the seafood. Mixed drinks are also very good. We look forward to eating as many meals as possible at Blackbeard's each time we visit.Try Blackbeard's once and you will be hooked. The service is great with very friendly wait staff.
