Review:ooop!!! what good goop! make a point of dropping in every time I'm in town. biggest bang for the buck I've had in years! My husband almost had a fit he was so overjoyed. Review:Eat till you burst... Apsara's is one of those rare restaurants where you just can not stop eating until everything has been completely devoured! Bordering on addiction, I will surely never find a restaurant similar to Apsara anywhere else I will ever live.
Blue Point Oyster Bar 99 North Main St. - 401.272.6145 Cuisine: Seafood Review:Loss of Blue Point Unfortunate Closed for some years now (as of 09/02) loss of The Blue Point Oyster Bar has left a gap in the Providence dining scene. While other Providence restaurants serve quality seafood, to date, no other local establishment has quite succeded in replacing The Blue Point. It's combination of expertly prepared seafood, world class wine list, unique ambiance and quality of service set the Blue Point apart. Until a new location for the Blue Point can be found, or another establishment rises to its level, the Blue Point will continue to be missed. ››
Capital Grille 1 Cookson Place - 401.521.5600 Cuisine: American Review:This place while somewhat expensive has the most delicious steak you will ever taste!!! If I remember correcty, they don't serve it with any side so you have to order mashed potatoes or something of the like as an extra, making the bill even more expensive but it's worth it! The steak MELTS in your mouth!!
Ristorante Piizzico 762 Hope St. - 401.421.4114 Cuisine: Italian Review:This restaurant experience was terrific. The food was delicious, with a varied menu from simple salads to extraordinary seafood and pasta entrees. It is very warm and intimate but also accommodates parties of at least 20. The staff was efficient as well as friendly, they knew the right times to come by. This dining experience should not be missed.
Cactus Bar & Grille 370 Richmond St - 401.421.3300 $5.01 - $15 The Cactus Bar and Grill is casual and funky. Relax with a huge margarita and a bowl of chips and salsa at the bar, or sample from a full menu of mexican favorites. This is big food, so beware. A selection of sauces makes it easy for folks who like it mild or wild. Cuisine: Southwestern Recommended Dishes:The huge burritos Review:Mexican food in New England? Yes. Sort of. American/Mexican meals, moderately priced. The sauce menu makes the meal. Choose a mild red sauce, or a creamy, hot Diablo, with many in between.
Ri Ra 50 Exchange Terr - 401.272.1953 Recommended Dishes:Potato Pancakes Review:My family went here after a graduation, and we liked it very much. The service was very nice and did a good job considering we had such a large group. I ordered the potato pancake type things for an appetizer and they were DELICIOUS! For my meal I had the fish and chips, the batter on the fish was a little heavy but tasted good and the portion was HUGE! Everybody else at the table was extremely happy with their orders

Tokyo Japanese Restaurant 388 Wickenden St - 401.331.5330 $5.01 - $15 Real Japanese cuisine, fresh sushi bar and a tradional tatami room (no shoes permitted). Lunch specials and take-out available. BYOB. Located in Providence's East Side Cuisine: Sushi Review:Great Japanese food, but opt for the traditional seating area Lunch specials are a good value, they include entree, rice, a bowl of miso soup and salad with ginger dressing for about $6. The main restaurant isn't that attractive, so I would recommend eating in the Tatami room which offer traditional seating (floor seating, low tables, no shoes) The service quality varies depending on when you go. Fresh sushi bar with a large variety.
