Baldwin, borough, Allegheny County, southwestern Pennsylvania, on the Monongahela River, on the southeastern border of Pittsburgh; incorporated as a borough1952. Chiefly a residential suburb of Pittsburgh, it was laid out in 1843 and named for Henry Baldwin, an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.
