Gresham, city, Multnomah County, northwestern Oregon, near the Columbia River; settled before 1850, incorporated 1905. It is a residential suburb of Portland and home to a community college and the annual Mount Hood Jazz Festival. The city is named for the United States public official Walter Quintin Gresham. Population 33,005 (1980); 68,235 (1990); 90,205 (2000).
