Moore, city, Cleveland County, central Oklahoma, a suburb of Oklahoma City; incorporated as a city 1962. Manufactures include oil-field and electronic equipment, metal products, and foodstuffs. Hillsdale Freewill Baptist College (1977) is here. Established during the Land Run of 1889, Moore greatly expanded in 1959-60, when many neighboring unincorporated villages were annexed; it probably is named for Al Moore, a Santa Fe Railway conductor.
