South Euclid, city, Cuyahoga County, northeastern Ohio, on Euclid Creek, near Cleveland; incorporated 1954. It is primarily a residential community and has some industry. Notre Dame College (1922) is in the area. Originally a part of Euclid Township (settled 1798), South Euclid became a separate village in 1917. Population 25,713 (1980); 23,866 (1990); 23,537 (2000).
