Hieronymus Seafood Restaurant 5035 Market Street - 910.392.6313 $5.01 - $15 Cuisine: Seafood Recommended Dishes:anything on the specials list Review:Eat here When you walk in they will move you straight ahead toward the dining room. Max in the bar is the best server in the place. My family heads for the bar. Winter time there is a fire, now consider that this is on the NC coast - feels great in January. Go with the specials.
Paddy's Hollow Restaurant and Pub The Cotton Exchange, 321 North Front Street - 910.762.4354 Recommended Dishes:All their seafood is wonderful! Review:Excellent! I absolutely love this restaurant! It has such a quiet, private atmosphere that it is the perfect place to go after a long day. The food has always been wonderful and the waitstaff is very friendly. They also have a deck which over looks the river which is so great during the summer. You can actually watch the sun set over the river from your table!
Caffe Phoenix 9 S. Front Street - 910.343.1395 $5.01 - $15 Cuisine: American Recommended Dishes:fettuicini Review:Awesome atmosphere The food was excellent and the atmosphere incredible. Very artsy and modern. You may spot celebrities every now and then also. It's a hot spot for them.
Kohl's Frozen Custard 6931 Market Street - 910.452.2300 $5 and under Cuisine: Dessert / Ice Cream Recommended Dishes:Burger and Fries, Custard flavor of the day Review:This place Rocks! You can get a decent burger here (it's like a whopper, only you pick your sauces) and fries, but what you should be going for is the custard. They have vanilla and chocolate custard everyday plus a different flavor of the day throughout the month, and they don't repeat, at least during the month. I'd put this custard up against Ted Drew's in St. Louis any day. The place isn't swanky. It's got linoleum floors and a black and white motif, but it gets the job done. The kids wear paper hats, so that's cool.
