Melting Pot Fondue Restaurant
3100 Wake Forest Road - 919.878.0477 $15.01 - $30
Fondue is the preparation of choice at the Melting Pot, a national restaurant chain. Besides the cheese fondue, there is oil or broth-based fondue for meats and vegetables, and chocolate dessert fondues. As most cooking is done at the table, dinner should be thought of as more of an experience than just a meal. Plan to spend at least an hour and a half.
Cuisine: American
Recommended Dishes: I would try them all
Review: Tastes good!
A very nice restaurant. It is classy and it has a very nice atmosphere. and the waters are so attentive.
Angus Barn
9401 Glenwood Ave - 919.787.3505 $30.01 - $50
One of the oldest restaurants in the region, the Angus Barn has been a local favorite for decades. It specializes in Black Angus beef, and features homemade desserts. The Wild Turkey bar offers a relaxing atmosphere. For a special occasion request seating in the Wine Cellar where you can be surrounded by the thousands of bottles on the 50-page wine list. When driving to the restaurant, you can easily spot it by the trademark big red barn.
Cuisine: Steaks
Recommended Dishes: Black Angus Filet, Roquetford Salad Dressing Every thing there is good to me!
Review: If you enjoy beef, this is the place to go. If not, look for a large seafood menu.
Review: This place is the best in the world! I love the Angus Barn. It is a little expencive but it is worth every penny!
Review: I can't began to explain how wonderful my last experience with Angus Barn. I was just starting to see this young man, that I wasn't necessarily trying to impress, but I really wanted to show him a good time. We went there and the service was impeccable. The food was good and the atmosphere was unbelievable. The gentleman that I dined with told me that this date was the best one he ever had. I bought a cake for him and took it Angus Barn even before they were open. One of the cooks was kind enough to take my cake and my name and ensured me that it would be sent to my table after dinner accordingly. I did not have to remind them and everything went so smoothly. I tell this story to everyone and I have many friends that have gone in search of this same experience. I had a beautiful evening.
Review: One of the times I dined there we had to wait 15 minutes - the owner came out to apologize and gave us numerous complementary dishes and items to take home.

Featuring wok-prepared Chinese dishes, PF Chang's offers a unique, upscale twist to the typical Chinese restaurant. A testimony to its popularity is the fact that without a reservation, there is almost always a wait from when it opens for lunch until it closes at dinner. The interior decour pays close attention to detail, with large overhead lights that subtly change colors throughout the meal. Review: Fresh Seafood and Politics

Review: Not Manhattan
I went to this restaurant after hearing it was the place to get good seafood in Raleigh, and was very disappointed with the quality of the food and the prices. I had fried shrimp, which were so overcooked and dry that they might as well have been frozen if they weren't. Sides were nothing special, except for the price. Way overrated.
Review: Always been my favorite
I have been a regular here since they opened in '87. It's a terrific place to take clients and a great spot for good music, good beer and good service. If you've never been you need to check it out. Another thing, these guys always have the cleanest restrooms in Raleigh.
Review: Good Food
Pretty good over all. It wasn't my favorite but all around good. It's got good music too. I would go back if I could, but I moved away from the area.
Review: Fat Bastard and my baby
I had a fantastic dining experience at 42nd st. The service was good. The Fat Bastard wine was-despite it's name- a very good wine recommended by our wait staff. The steak was cooked to perfection. I had the love of my life with me- The atmosphere was not overly romantic but allowed just a bit of ambiance in...so it was a night with my best friend that may have allowed the friendship to spark even more than it already had. I look forward to my next visit.
Review: I dined for the very first time last night and was very impressed. The food was great and we had very good service. The only disappointment was the cheese potato. It wasn't what I was expecting. I will definantly go back!
Greenshields Brewery & Pub
214 E Martin St - 919.829.0214 $5.01 - $15
Cuisine: American
Recommended Dishes: chicken sandwich, hamburger, fish&chips. fish & chips
Review: Good for lunch and watching sports.
We ate here for lunch. Service was spotty but we think the waitress was in training. The food is generous and nicely priced. Most sandwiches were $5.95 which includes fries. The burger I orderd was a little on the greasy side but tasty. The house IPA is malty and sweet for an IPA. They also brew their own rootbeer. It was served without a head and had a licorice finish. Large screen TV's told me this was a place to watch sporting events.
Review: I ate here for dinner one night and it was wonderful; I enjoyed it very much. Well, at least the food. Even though our waitress was a little out there, we still had a good supper. The food was yummy, and the setting and atmosphere was so lovely. It was very much an experience i would do again.
Andy's Pizza of North Hills

Review: The service is freindly and nice. It is a very nice little place just to go with a few friends to eat and relax, not to worry, but to unwind -- or even if you are just out on a date.
