This is as authentic as it gets. Great atmosphere, very reasonable prices and generous portions will keep you coming back. This place is crowded everyday of the week which tells you something right there. Review:One of our favorites! Heading there for lunch today. Food & service always the best, and at a good value. Tapping Frog & Kitchen Cafe 38 John Street - 845.339.7138 $5.01 - $15 Eclectic northern Italian restaurant in the heart of the historic stockade district, fine dining in a charming and relaxing setting filled with antiques and art from local artists Cuisine: Eclectic Recommended Dishes:risotto, pastas, ossobuco Review:Surely one of the best 5 restaurant in the Hudson Valley. It's not the typical Italian red sauce restaurant, the food is very creative and prepared like it should be...with care and love. This is the only restaurant (I know of) that compares to the ones in Italy. If you have been to Italy more than once and are looking for the same type of taste and feel this is the place to go.
