Albuquerque Petroleum Club 500 Marquette Ave NW - 505.247.0525 Private dining club downtown. Call for membership information. Recommended Dishes:Water Pork medallions; any seafood special Review:Not That Great for Valentine's Day Four of us went to the restaurant last weekend on the 15th. Two ordered the special "Beef Wellington", my husband order the Sea Bass and I a pasta dish. The special's were tough, and way to garlicy with no juice. My husband's sea bass was the size of a shot glass and laid upon a bed of what he described as "spinach cow patty". I tasted the spinach and it was gritty and just plain yucky! The bread (filo sticks) served fell apart if you tried to put butter on them. The wine was way overpriced, I've bought them both at Cost Plus for less than 1/2 what you charge. All in all I'd say I would not spend that kind of money at your restaurant every again. I can say, you have good coffee. That's about it. Review:We loved it! Just had dinner from the new menu (April 2003) and it was fabulous.

Enjoy browsing art gallery featuring Native American and Southwestern art. Cuisine: Fine Dining Recommended Dishes:Sopaillas, Enchildas Suizas Review:traditonal, yummy & friendly I've been going to La Placita since the late 60's, that is when I'm in Albuquerque. I am never disappointed in the food or the ambiance -- the service is a wild card -- although it been generaly very good, I've had a clunker now and then. My solution is to have a quiet word with the server and the service has always improved. They know how, sometimes they forget. But even mediocre service makes the trip to La Placita worth the effort. Try the sopapillas - you can't hardly find them outside of New Mexico but this is a delightful and verstile pastry and La Placita makes the best.
May Cafe 111 Louisiana Blvd SE - 505.265.4448 $5.01 - $15 Some of the vegetarian dishes have eggs, but can be ordered without them. Cuisine: Vietnamese Review:Everyone raved, so we went... Overall, our experience with the May Cafe was adequate. Some of the dishes were very enjoyable, some did not meet expectations. The service while quick, was not so friendly. It was late, maybe the staff was eager to call it a day...
Albuquerque Grill 12999 Central Ave NE - 505.294.3240 Review:this place was a joke Well I didn't expect much. The hotel (Best Western) advertised complimentary full breakfast but thats not the whole story. You can get the pancakes or the biscuits for free but if you want a full breakfast, i.e., meat or eggs you have to pay. Took about 30 minutes to be served a lousy breakfast. You get what you pay for I suppose.
