Vineland, city, Cumberland County, southern New Jersey, near the Maurice River; settled 1861, incorporated as a city 1952 with the merger of Vineland borough and Landis township. It is a commercial, distribution, and manufacturing center situated in a region producing poultry, vegetables, and fruit. Chief manufactures include processed food and scientific glass products.
