Thomas Sweet
179 Nassau St. - 609.924.7222 $5 and under
Princeton's Home-Made Ice Cream Parlor
Cuisine: Dessert / Ice Cream
Recommended Dishes: Bittersweet is the chocolatiest chocolate I've ever had. Any blend-in
Review: I love this place!
Some of the best ice cream I've ever had. Try a "blend-in": choose a flavor, and some blend-in items (different kinds of candy, fruit, etc.) and they put it in a machine that "mushes" it together and comes out like soft ice cream! It's like making your own flavors!
Review: Best ice cream in the world
Their blend-ins are amazing... unlike any ice cream treat in the world. I hope they open more shops in the northeast (lower Connecticut preferably)
Ajihei
11 Chambers Street - 609.252.1158
Japanese Deli & Restaurant
Cuisine: Sushi
Recommended Dishes: Negitoro don Sushi Platter and Miso Soup
Review: Best Japanese Food in Central NJ
Ajihei is hands down the freshest Japanese in central Jersey (and the only restaurant actually run by Japanese... all the others are run by Chinese/Koreans) As a result, all the Japanese immigrants in Central Jersey eat there... I would take it from the experts.
Review: A cute little place
Blue Point Grill
258 Nassau St - 609.921.1211 $15.01 - $30
Simple, fresh seafood in the heart of Princeton. Recently expanded for more seating.
Cuisine: American
Recommended Dishes: Anything on the specials menu
Review: One of Princeton's Best
Taste Of Mexico (El Sabor Mexicano)
301 North Harrison Street (Princeton Shopping Ctr) - 609.252.1575 $5.01 - $15
Small Authentic Mexican at Princeton Shopping Center
Cuisine: Mexican
Recommended Dishes: Guacamole, Mole dishes, Burrito, Tamale.
Review: Terrific, Authentic mexican
Nothing resembling the usual type of Mexican Restaurant found in the US, this is wonderful, authentic food with an emphasis on the Oaxaca area. The place is tiny, only 4 or 5 tables and a small counter, but there is some outdoor seating in warm weather. The service is extremely friendly, always with a smile, and after a few visits, the owner will greet you like an old friend. The guacamole is made fresh to order with ripe avocados, fresh lime, onion, cilantro, etc. My only complaint is that they only have a flat-top grill, so meats and chicken don't have that charcoal flavor
Conte's Pizza
339 Witherspoon St. - 609.921.8041
A Princeton Pizza Institution
Cuisine: Pizza
Recommended Dishes: PIZZA
Review: Excellent Pizza
Thin, crunchy crust. Not your typical pizza-joint-pizza. Friendly bar/tavern atmosphere, fast & friendly service. I say the best in the Princeton area, but go to Trenton for the really good stuff!
Review: Conte's vs. NYC pizza
I live in New York City, was born in Queens, but grew up in Princeton, and I will put Conte's Pizza up against the best New York has to offer. Their pizza in incredible...from the sauce to the cheese to the crust it's all GREAT!!!
Kalluri Corner
235 Nassau Street - 609.688.8923
Cuisine: Indian / Pakistani
Recommended Dishes: NONE Chicken Masala None Weekend Buffet NONE
Review: Good Food
Nice
Review: Horrible Indian Food and worst service
Nothing good to say about this restaurant. Big disappointment to our entire family. Never go there on a Saturday night. Prices were reasonable but that was the only thing reasonable about this restaurant.
Review: THE BEST IN TOWN
This is a wonderful, warm place. The food is excellent, the service friendly and prompt.
Review: Tastiest Tikka Masala Around
Service was excellent, friendly, and generously gave us extra bread and naan.
Review: Indian Food for Non-Indians
This restaurant by far serves the worst Indian food in the tri-state area. The service is not much better. We went on a Saturday and got very poor service due to lack of staff. The restaurant looks very impressive but has no substance
Review: One of the Best Indian Buffet around NJ
This is always the first choice for our family for Indian Buffet. We have gone there several times. We enjoyed the food as well as the service.
Review: Would Not Recommend
One visit is all it takes to come to a conclusion that this restaurant is being run by inexperienced people. The food and service was equally poor. The staff was not helpful in making recommendations. The food was not very tasty. I wish Moghul would open a branch in Princeton.
Lahiere
5-11 Witherspoon St. - 609.921.2798 $30.01 - $50
New American & French Cuisine in a refined setting.

A bit pricy but worth it.
Tortugas Mexican Village
44 Leigh Avenue - 609.924.5143 $5.01 - $15
Quaint mexican BYO just outside the center of town.
Cuisine: Mexican
Review: Great Food in a No-Nonsense Place
The food was very good, service adequate and you feel like your in Mexico. One caveat...if you ask for extra tortilla chips and salsa, which was very good, you'll be charged extra ($2.50 as of 9/2002).
Triumph Brewing Company
138 Nassau St. - 609.924.7855 $15.01 - $30
Bar, Late night, Live entertainment, Private rooms
Cuisine: American
Review: New Chef Makes a Difference
Since the new chef arrived here early in 2002, the food here has improved tremendously. Great selection touching on American Classics, European, and Asian. It's a beautiful place, but a little noisy. The brewed-in-house beer can't be beat!
The Ferry House
32 Witherspoon Street - 609.924.2488 $30.01 - $50
An upscale, French-American restaurant in the heart of Princeton. BYOB. Low-fat menu options.
Cuisine: International
Recommended Dishes: None Try one of the other restaurants nearby.
Review: I had a feeling that I was prejudiced. The appetizer was OK but the main dish was badly cooked. I also had a stomach problem after I had the food.
Review: Food Not Very Good... and Such Small Portions!

Review: One of the best in Princeton
Please ignore the previous reviews. The Ferry House is clearly one of the best places to go in Princeton if you want to go out for a good (though expensive meal). It provides great food without the stuffy atmosphere you get in some other Princeton establishments. Give it a Try!
Review: Please let me set the record straight
Rusty Scupper
378 Alexander Rd. - 609.921.3276 $15.01 - $30
Princeton favorite for more than 25 years. Specializing in Certified Angus Beef and the freshest seafood served buy a knowledgable, friendly staff. Private dining rooms available. Lounge features 2 pool tables and 7 TV's along with a full service bar.
Cuisine: Steaks
Recommended Dishes: Anything grilled
Review: A polished supper at the Rusty Scupper
This reviewer actually had lunch, but what good is a review without a cute tag? This brass, wood and glass fish-house provided an excellent meal and excellent experience; the fresh catch of the day (in my case, Yellowfin) was prepared very nicely - cooked through without becoming dry. The wait staff was pleasent, helpful and didn't hover. My waiter was thoughtful enough to suggest early entry on a Valentine's day reservation list. The wine list was good, but not extensive. All in all, great dining... well worth the money and worth putting on your repeat list. I am going back to enjoy more meals before I travel home
Review: What happened to this place? The food is OK, but I get better service at my local pizza place.
Review: Paying for the Location
A nice place to impress someone, but very overpriced. We had been to the one in Baltimore Inner Harbor and really liked their Sunday brunch. $26.00 for prime rib was a little too steep for me. The menu did not have a lot of choices.
Soonjas Cafe with Sushi
242 Alexander Rd. - 609.924.9260
Pan-Asian Cuisine in a relaxed setting.
Cuisine: Korean
Recommended Dishes: Tempura, Bi Bim Bap, Bulgogi
Review: Schizophrenic Cuisine

Review: Much below average food, way overpriced.
