Lodi, borough, Bergen County, northeastern New Jersey, on the Saddle River, near Paterson; settled late 17th century, incorporated 1894. It is a residential community with diversified industries; manufactures include chemicals, dyes, textiles, printed materials, and processed food. Felician College (1935) is here. Once known as New Barbadoes, the community was renamed for Lodi, Italy, in 1814.
