Amanda's 908 Washington St - 201.798.0101 Free parking is available at a lot that is two or three blocks away. Call the restaurant for information. Cuisine: American Recommended Dishes: Appetizer of mussels, wine grower's salad, any fish entree, key lime pie Review:Amanda's is the best overall restaurant in Hoboken with outstanding food, service and decor. Review:Good wine list and good food in Hoboken You go to Amanda's either for a slab of beef or, if you don't want to feel slow the next day, for the many other dishes that Chef Rodney Petersen prepares. Try the appetizer of mussels or the wine grower's salad to start. For a main course, try the duck special or one of the fish entrees. The best desserts are combinations of fresh fruits or berries with tasty and unusual ice creams -- for instance, cinnamon. There are two wine lists: the regular list, which everybody gets to see, has the more accessible wines; the reserve list, which is shown to you only if you ask for it, has the finer wines. Mostly the wines are from France, California, and the Northwest, with some Australians and Chileans. Eugene Flinn, the proprietor, who really knows and loves both food and wine, makes sure that his clients are served well and leave satisfied.

Karma Kafe 505 Washington St. - 201.610.0900 Dress: Casual Cuisine: Indian / Pakistani Recommended Dishes:Weekend Brunch Review:Very good Indian Food. Very good service and Indian food. If you like it spicy you will love this place. Stay away from the fish and crabcake (too fishy for me).
Sienna 338 Bloomfield Street - no phone $15.01 - $30 Cuisine: Italian Recommended Dishes:ostrich, stuffed chicken and pork chops Review:You Must Turn off Washington To Get a Great Meal This place is hidden on 4th and Bloomfield, but it's reputation is surpassing Washington Street. The Chef is a welcomed addition to Hoboken. There are too many pasta places, pizza places etc, this place is unique. They serve ostrich, wild boar and other creative dishes. It is a bring your own but they will order wine for you and have it there in minutes.
