Apparently the waitress (not a young teen) was displeased with the tip I left. She chased me out of the Restaurant and handed me back the money I had left her (10% of our bill) When reporting it to the manager I was told "You don't know anything lady! I run a Restaurant and would never let an employee treat a customer in this manner! I am currently trying to locate the owner as I am sure he/she would not like to see customers treated in this manner. I will never visit this establishment again. Review:Lousy tip 10%.... no wonder she gave it back..... cheap! Average service calls for 15%. Less than average calls for a talk with the manager and 15%. Better than average calls for better than 15%. You shouldn't have been "chased", however I can understand the waitpersons feelings. 10% stinks! I've been there and I'd rate it as average bar food, clean and decent establishment. Friendly. Review:Good food I thought the food at Jackson Mt. Cafe was great, the waitress was really nice and pleasant as well, would recommend it to anyone in Cape May. Review:Ended 2002 at Jackson Mountain In Cape May for New Year's Eve we were glad to find this restaurant open at 9 p.m. Food was good, service a little slow (server seemed distracted). Salads (ala carte) were too big to eat withan entree. Entrees also huge portion & delicious - we couldn't even finish them. Review:A Solid Establishment Pretty good food for the price. I usually go once a year prior to Memorial Day. Two big advantages - one of the few restaurants open on Sunday night at that time of the year, and they still provide you with a lunch menu (even after dark), so there is quite a variety available. Service can be uneven at times, but all in all, a fair value for the price.
