Bound Brook, borough, Somerset County, central New Jersey, on the Raritan River; settled in 1681, incorporated 1891. It is largely a residential community. In April 1777, Bound Brook was the scene of a battle in the American Revolution in which British forces led by Major General Charles Cornwallis routed an American garrison.
