Oak Park, city, Oakland County, southeastern Michigan; incorporated 1945. It is a suburb of Detroit with some industry, including the manufacture of motor-vehicle parts, tools and dies, canvas products, electronic equipment, and machinery. Population 31,537 (1980); 30,462 (1990); 29,793 (2000 estimate).
