Sit at long tables in this inexpensive, family-friendly Italian institution in Lexington Center.
Cuisine: Italian
Recommended Dishes: Try their pizza with sliced tomatoes and crushed garlic! My husband's favorite is the lasagna. The aroma alone is to die for.
Review: Almost better than home-cooked!
I've lived in Lexington for 28 years. Restaurants come and go. Mario's always was and still is #1. The staff is fantastic, service is great and the food tastes just like home-cooked. The pizza crust is perfect. They are VERY reasonably priced. The chain restaurant a block or so away, charges $$$$$$ and their staff could take lessons from Mario's. Hope they never close down while I still live here.

Review: Best Chinese in Lexington

Review: Best Chinese in Lexington
My family and I have been going to the Yangtze River in Lexington for over 15 years and we have yet to be disappointed in either individual dishes or their fabulous buffet. From the chicken & cashew to the rice sticks, to the General Tsao's chicken, to some of the newer dishes like curried beef & onions, and yes, we love the egg rolls as well. Very friendly service, we'll continue to go there and get our take out from them. Other Chinese restaurants in the are pale in comparison - even the one in our own town.

Review: Extremely disappointing

Review: Scrumptious
After about 7 visits, we would say everything except the Korean BBQ dishes is first-rate. We consistently enjoy the sushi, the appetizers, and the seafood and noodle dishes. Our favorite: Toban Yaki, a salmon and vegetable number cooked and served in a stylish ceramic pot. Hard to fathom how they get all the varied ingredients--including spinach, calamari, and even daikon--to taste so wonderfully smooth. It's memorable.
Review: Good Fish
I have only been into Dabin 3 times and I've only had one dish but given the review from Jean B I had to add something for balance. The Chirasi Sushi (assorted sashimi over a bowl of rice) has been excellent every time. Good quantity and excellent quality at a reasonable price($13). Others that have been with me have had similar experiance with other Sushi dishes. It's certainly possible that Sushi chef is much better than the hot food chef. I will certainly be back.
Review: Best Veggie Gyoza in town
Although the other stuff I have had there is good too, the gyoza is really the best around.
Review: Dabin has always found a way to satify our family's taste when it comes to good Korean food. We have eaten at Dabin for many years that it is now impossible to count. All of their dishes whether it is spicy kimchee cheegae or a lunch bento box has been a pleasure to eat every time. The service is fast and reliable and the workers are so courtious and friendly and we feel welcome every time with a "an young hass a yo" which means "hello" in Korean. Dabin is the best Korean restaurant in the whole state of Massachusetts. It is well rounded and if you ever have a strong craving for Korean food, we strongly recommend Dabin because their food is delicious and you will never have a negative experience! Furthermore, the shrimp tempura is one of our favorites. It is very light and crispy and it is accompanied with a not too strong and also a light sauce. It is a mouth-watering combination!
Vinny Testa's Bar
20 Waltham St - 781.860.5200 $15.01 - $30
Local chain known for huge, family-style portions of Italian food.

Review: Great service, Great food, GREAT BREAD
Frequent diner, every experience has been wonderful. Whether we stop in for a meal or just a glass of wine & tirimisu. I get hungry just passing!
Review: A huge disappointment
New Asia
211 Massachusetts Ave - 781.863.5533 $5.01 - $15
Chinese food in East Lexington
Cuisine: Asian
Recommended Dishes: Chicken fried rice, general gau chicken
Review: Hole in the Wall
This restaurant is never crowded, and it's easy to see why. The food is nothing to write home about, and the restaurant is none too clean.
Review: This is the BEST chinese I've ever had!!!
I don't know where Joel usually eats, but I've never been disappointed by New Asia. I've never eaten in the restaurant; we normally have take out...but the food is always fresh... fresh REAL ingredients and always delicious!! If you want GREAT chinese... don't let ehe ambiance fool you... this place has the BEST food... you won't be disappointed!
Review: Sometimes Great, Sometimes Bad
New Asia has some tasty dinner specials and you get a lot for the money. But I'd have to say they're inconsistent. My long time favorite had been Basil Pork. But New Asia has a tendency to use ingredients even after they've passed their prime. Once the basil leaves were slimy the way bad lettuce gets. The last time I ordered that dish, the pork was just rancid. I can see how they keep their food so cheap. After the pork incident, I haven't been back. it's too bad. Because when that dish was good, it was REALLY good.
Athenian Restaurant
177 Massachusetts Ave - 781.863.8653 $5.01 - $15
Eat under a bas-relief of the Parthenon, in this long-running Greek-American diner.
Cuisine: Diner
Recommended Dishes: Broiled fish none in particular
Review: Your Basic Diner
Stick to the basics and you won't go wrong at the Athenian. Their fish has never done me wrong. Spanakopita was less memorable. Lots of families and older people are greeted by name by the waitresses.
Review: it's okay
Lemon Grass
1710 Massachusetts Ave - 781.862.3530 $5.01 - $15
Thai restaurant in Lexington center.
Cuisine: Thai
Recommended Dishes: the usual: pahd Thai, tom kha gai... don't go malay noodles, chicken w/basil
Review: Fine Thai in the 'Burbs

Review: The worst pahd Thai I've ever had
Hoped to finally find a replacement for Thai since relocating to the area. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place at all. I ordered pahd Thai - vegetarian - and it was the most bland and egg-centric pahd Thai I've ever had. Yuck, could only eat a few bites. Moved on to my wife's vegetable curry but this was also very bland. I am never going back.
Review: Pretty good Thai for Boston suburbs
Peking Garden
27 Waltham St - 781.862.1051

I recently went there for a wedding reception. The food was so-so. There were some specialty dishes but some of them tasted like fast food.
