Ponte Vecchio 435 Newbury St. - 978.777.9188 Cuisine: Italian Recommended Dishes:All the dishes are great. Review:Ponte Vecchio is a very good restaurant with very good food. And also the waiters/waitressess wear the appropriate restaurant clothing, for example black plants and a black tie. And in wearing the right clothing it makes the environment in the restaurant seem neater and well organized.
Hardcover Restaurant 15A Newbury Street, Rt. 1 - 978.774.1223 Bar,Outdoor dining,Romantic Cuisine: Seafood Recommended Dishes:I already said in my review NONE Review:We would have to recommend the Bk Stuff Shrimp and the Prime Rib (medium rare) was to die for. We just came back and I'm stuffed. O and I can't forget the salad bar. It's the most fresh items everything was great. Can't wait to go back. Review:Hardcover Was Awful In Every Aspect Made reservations 3 weeks ago for a party of 6 for a 30th anniversary..Got there said they didn't have the reservation and were terribly rude..I gave then the persons name I made it with and they said oh well, you have to wait..Well, I told them they better seat me right away or I'll personally make a scene..got seated...The prime rib was fatty and the shrimp was all dried up.. Had asked them to sing Happy Anniversary..They forget and finally did it (rudely)after we got our bill. I would NEVER go there again. The only thing that was good was the company I was with. Review:Easter Dinner
Review:More than Awful The Hardcover has a real problem with serving alcohol to people who have to wait too long at the bar. They overserve them and then when you are seated and trying to enjoy a quiet meal, you are SURROUNDED by people who are drunk and very, very loud. Awful!! Food was bland, I think some of it bought frozen (crab cakes, Bkd stuffed potato). Too much money for a mundane meal. The salad bar had nothing in it that thousands of other salad bars have. What is with all the different servers? What was interesting is that even with all the servers, even after I complained about the noise, I had to ask the people next to us to please keep it down. It was like being in a sports bar. I would never go back.
