Crisfield Seafood Restaurant 8012 Georgia Ave. - 301.589.1306 Cuisine: Seafood Recommended Dishes:soft shell crabs, stuffed shrimp, Norfolk-style dishes, broiled fish stuffed with Crisfield crab special, seafood bisque soup rockfish, anything with crab Crabmeat Norfolk, Seafood Bisque, Crisfield Special, Stuffed Shrimp seafood bisque Crisfield special Review:I agree with the first review. Note there are two locations, one on Georgia Ave., one nearby on Coleville Rd. Georgia Ave, the original location, is a dive. The Coleville Rd location has a much nicer atmosphere and is not as crowded. Review:The Seafood Bisque is to die for. Even in the hot months, you can't start your meal without the bisque. I have been going for over 20 years and the food is consistently good! You can't lose with anything you order (my favorite - crabmeat norfolk). Review:Still serving terrific seafood Crisfield has not dropped the quality of its food at all based on my last trip there. And most importantly, it still had the seafood bisque which is one of my favorite 'soups' anywhere in Maryland. Problem: location. PLEASE MOVE OR OPEN UP A THIRD PLACE Review:Only If You Know Seafood Crisfield (the original) kept its 1930s decor and its slavish devotion to the pure seafood altar. It offers the best Chesapeake seafood in 50 miles especially for those not able to make the trip to Cantler's Riverside Inn in Annapolis. Further north on Coleville Road sits another "Crisfield" Restaurant (in the Blair Building across from the AFI Silver Theater). That restaurant (started by some offshoot clan) provides 4-star seafood and a little more upscale trappings. The original at 8012 Georgia Avenue provides 5-star seafood.
Oriental East 1290 East-West Highway - 301.608.0030 Cuisine: Asian Recommended Dishes:Pineapple buns Review:Tops for Dim Sum One of the best Dim Sum places in the region, possibly the best. Served from carts on Sat-Sun, and very crowded, with an overwhelmingly knowledgeable Asian clientele. Offers 4 kinds of tea, but you have to ask if you don't speak Mandarin. Shortened Dim Sum menu the rest of the week. We ate here every Saturday we were in town for six years and were never disappointed.
Sergio's Restaurante Italiano 8727 Colesville Road - 301.585.1040 Cuisine: Italian Recommended Dishes:The specials are always excellent, especially the crab cakes with pesto, and the mussells are always plump and juicy. Review:Friendly, courteous service; marvellous food, with regular specials which never fail to please, e.g. the pork chop stuffed with spinach and gorgonzola, the crab cakes, and the homemade ravioli. Situated in a hotel, but with a loyal, local following.
Bombay Gaylord 8401 Georgia Ave. - 301.565.2528 Kid Friendly Cuisine: Indian / Pakistani Recommended Dishes:chicken tiki marsala and paluk (spinach and potatoes) Review:Great restaurant The food is delicious....staff is very nice.
Crisp & Juicy 3800 International Drive - 301.598.3333 Cuisine: Latin American Recommended Dishes: whole chicken with spicy sauce Chicken breast sandwich and primaver rice with extra creamy hot sauce on both. Review:Had better. Review:This is predominantly a carry-out restaurant. It has great authentic argentine food. The rotisserie chicken lives up to it's name, and the accompanying spicy sauce is phenominal. Review:Crips & Juicy is Addictive Once I tasted the meals at Crisp & Juicy, I was hooked. From the succulent chicken, that is perfectly seasoned to the matchless creamy hot sauce, I am never disappointed. I see why the lines are outside the door every day. My favorite items are the chicken breast sandwich and the primavera rice. I always order two extra hot sauce(s) to pour over my rice. There are no words to describe how good that is. Review:Not too crisp nor too juicy. The chicken at Crisp & Juicy is somewhat over-rated. The half chicken I bought was very dry and did not have a good grilled flavor. The sauce was very good, though. Personally, I would go to a nearby Kentucky Fried Chicken and get better food.
