Parker's Ocean Grill 1000 31st St. - 630.960.5701 Bar,Outdoor dining,Private rooms,Kid Friendly
Parking: Available
Reservations: Recommended Cuisine: Seafood Recommended Dishes: Manila Clam Chowder, Oysters Rockefeller, Grouper Review:Parkers - don't waste your time. Don't waste your time here, it's too high priced for the quality of food and dining experience. If you want young and imature servers waiting on you, pushing over priced wine and drinks and then not being able to explain the differences between two types of fish, then go ahead. But since everything is ala'carte, this place will run you about $50/head for dinner. At that price, wouldn't you want someone to tell you the difference between sea bass and grouper? Review:Highly Recommended Some of the most creative seafood dishes I've found in the Midwest. I loved the Manila Clam Chowder (Lighter than New Englnd style) and Crab Cakes(High percentage of actual crab meat). For my entree I chose the Grouper which which was presented in a light reduction. I did substitute wood roasted (I believe Yukon Gold) potatoes instead of mashed as they are very hearty and tasty. After dinner in the dining room our party made our way to the lounge where we finished the evening listening to the pianist, sipping port, smoking cigars and feeling like the Rat Pack. The servers were a bit young but from my experience very friendly and not immature as a previous post stated. Definitely a little pricier than other seafood restaurants, but you do get what you pay for.
