If you're enamoured with the syrups, you can buy a bottle at the front to take home with you. Cuisine: Breakfast / Brunch Recommended Dishes:Mac Nut Pancakes, Banana Pancakes, Mahi Mahi The hobo, all the pancakes, and the fries. Pancakes, any Veg dish... Try the Teri Beef Plate w/ Mashed potatoes and 'Da Works.' Review:Great Mix of Local and Mainland Food Ken's, while moderately expensive, provides the biggest menu in Hilo. From Mahi Mahi to Mac Nut Pancakes, Ken's serves a lot of good food. Parking can be difficult during rush times. In the mornings, Ken's bottomless pot of coffee can be a blessing to the bleary eyed. Also, late at night Ken's is the only restaurant open! Review:Great food for college kids! The food is "ono" that's Hawaiian for delicious, and the prices are just right. It's a great place to go when you're pulling an all-nighter, the best study food for me was a chocolate shake, fries and a side of ranch dressing! Review:KENS IS THE BEST
Review:Kens is the Greatest To NOT eat at Ken's is ridiculous. The food is immaculate, the staff is awesome, the location is convenient! Come on, Go, you know you want to! Don't forget to say Howzit to Laurie the "Hau'oli (Happy) Hostess!"

Reuben's 336 Kamehameha Ave - 808.961.2552 $5.01 - $15 Mexican food in Hilo. Some of the dishes are big so it's a good place to eat if your really hungry. Charges for chips. Cuisine: Mexican Recommended Dishes: crab enchiladas all the dishes are great Review:Reubuens In Hilo Good food when you're really in the mood for a big dinner. Review:Pricy and Salty I only ate here once, for lunch. This place is well known for its Crab Enchiladas. I found the service close to non-existent and the copious portion of crab meat overly salty. A margarita and the enchilada came to $20 with tip-- a bit more than I'd expected from a Mexican eatery. Review:reuben's mexican food I have been eating at Reuben's mexican food for the past eight years and i love it, they have won the readers choice awards for best mexican food and best margaritas on the big island since they started the readers choice awards. I think the food is perfect not too salty and always consistent in taste. I would recomend all the dishes because they are all great and they are very affordable, not pricey and all.
