College Park, city, Fulton and Clayton counties, northwest central Georgia, a residential suburb of Atlanta; settled 1830s, incorporated 1891. Hartsfield International Airport, one of the busiest in the United States, and a large convention center are here. The city, originally known as Manchester, was renamed in 1895, when a women's college moved here and the Southern Military Academy was established.
