Agnes and Muriel's 1514 Monroe Dr. - 404.885.1000 Cuisine: Southern Recommended Dishes:Pork Chops, Iced Mocha Pasta Dish with Pine Nuts Review:Good Food -- Great People I am a frequent diner at this great place, and I would reccomend it to anyone who enjoys a casual atmosphere and good old American dishes. The food is excellent, everything from the meats, to the fried green tomatoes, to the spiced apples all melt in your mouth, but that's not the best point of this restaurant. The reason to choose Agnes & Muriel's is the friendly, excellent service. Many times when I have eaten there, the chef or manager has come out to personally see me, and ensure that I was enjoying my meal. The waitstaff it upbeat and friendly, and have never had a problem with any special request I have made. I have never had a negative experience with this great location. Review:Cool! This is a great restaurant in the heart of midtown Atlanta - parking is a bit hard but worth it.
201 Courtland 201 Courtland St. - 404.589.1448 CLOSED - NO LONGER IN BUSINESS Recommended Dishes:Crawfish Pie Review:Great Seafood Buffet and Sunday Brunch I have heard of 201 Courtland but have not had the opportunity to go there until recently. I went for the Friday night seafood buffet and really had a great time! There was a live band and all the seafood you could eat. I especially enjoyed the house special (Crawfish Pie). I was told about the Sunday Brunch and checked it out. Talk about an awsome selection of down home soul food cooking! So now 201 Courtland is the spot my girls and I on Friday nights and my mom and I on Sundays.

Babette's Cafe 471 N Highland Ave Ne - 404.523.9121 $15.01 - $30 Cuisine: French Recommended Dishes:French toast at Sunday brunch Review:Yummy and Reasonable Babette's is a little off-the-beaten path in the southern reaches of Virginia-Highlands, which may account for the reasonable prices, especially for Sunday brunch. I have never had a bad meal here, in a half-dozen visits.
Doc Chey's Noodle House 1424 N Highland Avenue - 404.888.0777 Review:My husband and I went to Doc Chey's last night for the first time and enjoyed it thoroughly. The food and service were great- I had the Pad Thai. We ate outside- very relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely return.
Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery 3242 Peachtree Road - 404.264.0253 Bar,Outdoor dining,Group Friendly Cuisine: American Recommended Dishes:Burgers, Creme Soda Review:Good Burgers, Great Drinks The food at Rock Bottom is pretty decent, nothing special, but I have no complaints. The real treat of this restaurant, however, are the drinks. I don't drink alchoholic beverages (no, I'm not 15, I'm just a pansy), but the home-made red creme soda was awesome. The service was well above acceptable levels (I left a 20% tip), no complaints there. All in all, it's a good place to eat every once in a while, but it's an excellent place to order a cold, home-brewed drink.
Ru San's 2315 Windy Hill Rd., SE - 770.933.8315 Cuisine: Sushi Recommended Dishes:Hamachi Kama (Yellow Cheek) Appetizer, Edamame, Tuna Tetaki, Unagi (Sea Eel) Review:Awesome Sushi!
Sea Siam Restaurant 2257 Lenox Road, NE - 404.634.1784 Cuisine: Thai Recommended Dishes:Tom Kha Review:Thai Seafood, Nicely Done Although it may look a bit like a dive from the outside, the only diving here is for good seafood. Other entrees are not hugely memorable, so respect the name and go with the seafood, which IS memorable. The Tom Kha seafood soup comes in a flaming hot pot, and is extremely tasty.
Max Lager's 320 Peachtree St. - 404.525.4400 $15.01 - $30 Cuisine: American Review:The food here is tasty, a good selection, even for vegetarians, and great service. Located just out of the downtown bustle, yet close enough to walk to from the downtown area.
Raging Burrito 1529 B Piemont Ave. - 404.885.9922 Recommended Dishes:Umm, burrito! Review:Good, Fast, 'n Cheap Raging Burrito is just a cool place. It's a fun place to go, with an upbeat aura, good music, and is very comfortable. The food is good too - it's great for the price. The service is typically quick, if a bit less friendly than I'd like. All in all - it's a good, easy meal, with very few frills.
American Roadhouse 842 North Highland Avenue - 404.872.2822 Cuisine: American Review:Terrible Service Food is pretty good not bad in price, but service is so awful you will forget that the food is not bad.

Canoe 4199 Paces Ferry Rd Nw - 770.432.2663 $15.01 - $30 Incredible decor, excellent wine list and food is presented nicely. Restaurant also has river view and outdoor dining. Cuisine: American Review:Atlantas Best View Canoe was a great dining experience, From the moment I was greeted to the time I left, the waiter was excellent and made the perfect recommendation. The New York Strip was cooked to perfection and was cut into medallions, the vegetable with it was mixed and very tender. The view was nice and offers outdoor seating during the warmer months and also has walking trails down to river. Review:Wonderful innovative food I have been to Canoe at least 4 times. My meal and the meals my party had have always been wonderful. Innovative American cuisine. Choice from about 10 "meat" (about half seafood) and 5 pasta entrees. Some unusual items: sturgeon has been a regular item recently, wolf fish was a special this week. In general, we have found desserts not as uniformly wonderful as the appetizers, soups, entrees. Portions are modest in size (you won't go away stuffed). Reservations desirable but not always necessary. Moderate noise level.
