Miramar, city, Broward County, southeastern Florida, near the Atlantic Ocean; incorporated 1955. It is a residential community in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area. Calder Race Course is nearby. The city's name means “look at the sea” in Spanish. Population 32,813 (1980); 40,663 (1990); 72,739 (2000).
