Alabama Jack's 58000 Card Sound Road - 305.248.8741 An open-air seafood restaurant, built on two barges in the 1950s. Cuisine: Bar / Pub / Brewery Recommended Dishes:Appetizer sampler - conch, crab, grouper Grouper Fingers Conch Fritters and Grouper Conch Fritters, Conch Chowder, Crab Cakes lima bean soup and conch fritters Try the crab cakes Review:Great spot Whenever friends visit the Miami area and are headed down to the Keys, I always tell them to take the Card Sound Road out of Florida City and stop at Alabama Jacks. It's a great spot for taking a deep breath, sipping a beer, snacking on their sampler, and leaving the city behind... and every one of my friends that have stopped have agreed. Review:a When traveling to the Keys it's a good idea to take Card Sound Road. The drive is easier, the scenery better, and Alabama Jack's is there. The ambiance is so laid back you will probably stay longer than you intend, so make time. The beer is cold, the food basically 'bar food' snacky, but really good. Review:Stopped on the way to Key West. Everyone says you just have to stop. Tried an appetizer of conch fritters. On the way back to Miami Airport, stopped and had the conch fritter dinner. They are the absolute best. The fritters in Key West don't even come close. Sit by the water if possible and just relax. Review:Best Conch Fritters Anywhere! I visit the keys regularly (I live in S. Florida) and I wouldn't think of passing by Alabama Jack's without stopping for some conch fritters... and the conch chowder ain't bad either! Great ambiance (a barge on the water), interesting people, and live music and country line-dancing on the weekends. Don't drive to the keys without taking Card Sound Rd. Review:Hooked on Lima Bean Soup We were in Key West for vacation from August to September. On the way to Miami airport we stopped at Alabama Jack's and had a few beers and some Lima Bean soup (I'm addicted to it now!). The place was great, the service was great and needless to say, the lima bean soup was excellent!!! AJ's will be my first and last stop everytime I go to Florida from now on. Review:Greatest stop in the Keys I don't enter the Keys without heading down to Card Sound and Alabama Jack's. It one of the only hot spots with the real keys' atmostphere. Great building, great food, the beer is always cold and the staff is always friendly. Review:Don't go to the Keys without stopping here.

Lario's on the Beach 820 Ocean Dr. - 305.532.9577 Bar,Late night,Outdoor dining,View<br>Parking: Valet Cuisine: Cuban Recommended Dishes:Ropa vieja, Chicharrón de pollo, Moros Review:When It's Good, It's Very Very Good.... This South Beach branch of Gloria and Emilio Estafan's Miami eatery is frustrating. The ambience is cozy, noisy and busy (split between Cuban locals and tourists who loudly wonder why there are no enchiladas on the menu), service is spectacularly hit-and-miss (either friendly and attentive to out-and-out chilly), and the food has varied wildly in my visits. Their masas de puerco can be dry and tough, but their chicharrón de pollo is great, their ropa vieja is tasty, and the sides of plátanos and moros (black beans and rice) make me homesick (well, for Puerto Rico, where I grew up). A good sign: everything was wonderful on my last visit-- Gloria and Emilio must be paying attention! Worth a visit
