Basils Flame Broiled Chicken Inc 5603 Manatee Avenue W - 941.794.5222 Recommended Dishes:2 PIECE WHITE DINNER, SIDES OF POTATO SALAD & POTATO SALAD! Review:THIS IS THE BEST CHICKEN I'VE EVER HAD. IT IS FLAME BROILED, LOW FAT FULL FLAVOR...BEATS FRIED ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. DON'T BOTHER ASKING FOR THE SPICES, THEY WON'T TELL YOU, BUT THE BLEND IS INCREDIBLE. THEY OFFER A VARIETY OF SIDE DISHES, I SUGGEST THE POTATO SALAD. THE BREAD THAT COMES WITH THE DINNERS IS SERVED WITH HONEY BUTTER.

Coach & Horses British Pubs & Restaurants 4921 44th Avenue E - 941.795.4575 Cuisine: Bar / Pub / Brewery Recommended Dishes:Fish & Chips, Cottage Pie, Scotch Egg Review:I'm a real anglophile. This place is the real deal. From the minute you walk in the door you are met with an atmosphere that is authentic to almost any pub in england. And if you're out for a romantic dinner you can't beat it. The dim lighting, the dark wood and rich colors make it a perfect rendevous spot. The food is also remarkably authentic as well. The fish & chips are the same as you would find wrapped in a newspaper & served at the local chippie out of a lorry. The cottage pie also is a winner. For drinks, try a black & tan (bass ale & guinness stout). it's an acquired taste but it's typically british.

There are a couple of standard size pool tables, couple dart boards, and good service. The menu is Chicago Style to the brim. I recommend Thin Style Pizza. If your a Bears Fan, come on in! Review:Not a bad place
Asia Restaurant & Lounge 6844 14 Street W - 9417561224 Recommended Dishes:Sweet & sour chicken Review:As with most chinese restaurants, this one has the usual standbys...sweet & sour chicken, beef & broccoli, etc. What really sets this one apart & makes it shine are the egg rolls. They are huge, full of pork & shrimp & vegetables deep fried in a tempura batter. It really makes the meal! Their earybird and "hero plate" are really a great deal. For under $6 you can stuff yourself & take home leftovers. They offer a wide selection on both their earlybird menu as well as their regular menu. What ever you order is bound to please, and don't forget the egg rolls!
Basils Flame Broiled Chickens 4015 1st Street - 941.747.7972 Review:This stuff is good! Ribs fall off the bone and the chicken is wonderful! We usually eat there for a treat (not as cheap as fast food). They also have a salad with grilled chicken on top that is excellent.
Fanatics Sports Bar & Grill 4669 Cortez Road W - 941.761.0833 Cuisine: Bar / Pub / Brewery Review:Fun Place Good sandwiches - a great place to watch a Steelers game. They even carry Iron City Beer (a Pittsburgh favorite).
Red Lobster Restaurants 5711 14th Street W - 941.756.1814 $5.01 - $15 Cuisine: American Recommended Dishes:Crab Alfredo Review:What can I say about Red Lobster except that it's everything you expect. In my opinion it's a great place for people who think they like seafood but have never actually tried seafood the way you get it in Maine or Key West or the any other coastal city. Red Lobster would be a fantastic choice if you lived in a land locked state like Iowa or Utah, but when you live so close to the gulf & have the opportunity to expericence seafood at it's best, why go for some generic big chain when you can try a smaller local place that probably pulled the fish out of the water that morning.
