Huntington Park, city, Los Angeles County, southwestern California; near Los Angeles; incorporated as a city 1906. It is a residential and industrial center; major manufactures include fabricated metal, aircraft parts, and oil-field equipment. The community, established in 1856, was laid out in 1900 and called La Park. In 1904 it was renamed for Henry E. Huntington, the financier and railroad executive. Population 46,223 (1980); 56,065 (1990); 61,348 (2000).
