It's the only Chinese restaurant in the area that has great food that is prepared well and in minimal time. The restaurant is small and somewhat hidden, but the environment is quite nice. The huge crowds from the height of the coffee craze have somewhat dispersed, but they still draw a large and diverse crowd. Motorcycle enthusiasts, punk rockers, college students and silicon valley professionals all gather in and around Coffee Society. The coffee's good too. The people at the counter are friendly and helpful. There's a bookshelf with reading material and people sometimes play board games. I bring my grandma there once a week. She comments on the gathered motorcyclists, but professes to liking Coffee Society.
