Buena Park, city, Orange County, southern California; incorporated 1953. It is primarily residential with some industry, notably food processing. Tourism is important; Knott's Berry Farm (an amusement park) and Movieland Wax Museum are here. Its name is derived from the Spanish name of a portion of the Rancho Los Coyotes (established 1834) on which the community was platted in 1887. Population 64,165 (1980); 68,784 (1990); 78,282 (2000).
