Chino Bandito
15414 N. 19th Ave. - 602.375.3639 $5.01 - $15
Cuisine: Mexican
Recommended Dishes: Jerk Chicken
Review: Awesome Food
This place has some of the best food I've ever tasted. Its not the healthiest, but mmm it sure tastes good.
Grilled Expedition
21001 North Tatum Blvd - 480.419.7577 $15.01 - $30
Grilled Expedition tag line is "Wood-Fired Adventure," which briefly explains the type of restaurant it is. However, it really doesn't give the full nature of the restaurant. G.E. cooks everything on wood-fired grills or in a wood-fired oven and doesn't use the normal flavors of the area, giving it's patrons a different restaurant to try out.\n\nThe atmosphere allows you to feel comfortable whether you arrive in casual attire or are nicely dressed.
Cuisine: Fine Dining
Recommended Dishes: Fire-roasted Chickent, Pork Tenderloin, Grilled Sirloin, Cajun Jambalaya
Review: An Excellent Choice For Something New!
Altos
5029 N 44th St, Ste B1 - 602.808.0890 $15.01 - $30
Cuisine: Spanish
Review: A Little touch of Spain
From Tapas to Sherry, and everything in-between, one of my family's favorites for an evening of good food and music! Friday, Saturday, and maybe Thursday, they have live entertainment. Excellent! But the food is the real star here. If you want to spend the evening sampling Tapas and sipping Sangria(very good!), you will think you are in Barcelona. And the main courses are creative, but not overly fru-fru(is that the way you spell it?). Something for everyone. Enjoy!
La Fontanella Restaurant
4231 E Indian School Rd - 602.955.1213 $15.01 - $30
Cuisine: Italian
Recommended Dishes: Osso Bucco
Review: Good Italian
They have a discount if you dine early and are out by 6:30. Fairly good wine list and several wines by the glass. The Osso Bucco was excellent. They provided a small fork for getting the marrow out of the bone for those who like that little treat. The seafood pasta was done just right. We passed on dessert. A very busy place with what appeared to be a lot of regular clientele. Reservations not required but I would recommend them on the weekend unless you are eating very early. The restaurant was nearly full when we finished around 7:30 PM. Service was very attentive and the waiter didn't hesitiate an opinion when asked about a couple of dishes versus each other.

Tokyo Express IV
4105 N 51 Ave - 623.245.1166
One of the Tokyo Express chain restaurants. Pre-packaged Sushi. Variety of typical Japanese fast food items, such as curry rice, noodles and the like. Casual atmosphere. Sushi take out not available in summer.
Cuisine: Japanese
Review: Tokyo Express
Tokyo Express is a small chain specializing in Japanese fast food. Essentially, the "Mc" of sushi. Typical fast food decor - plastic chairs and all. The sushi is better than what you would expect from a fast food chain, but often the selection or amount is limited, since they do not make it on the premises. There is a fair variety of sushi available, but it leans more towards the "California" than traditional Japanese. Besides the sushi, a fair variety of other Japanese fast food is available, including curried rice and various noodle dishes. Varies from good to fair. Don't bother with the salad - typical few pieces of lettuce in a styrofoam cup with some kind of orange stuff on it.
