Chez Piggy 68 Princess St. - 613.549.7673 One of Kingston's best known restaurants. Highly acclaimed. Also on the premises is Pan Chancho: bakery, catering and take-out. Cuisine: International Review:Enjoyable I had the corn crusted chicken with black bean bread and the gorgonzala soup. Rolls served with the meal went very well with the soup. The soup's texture and flavour was lovely. The chicken was lightly spiced and the chutney was a nice contrast in texture. The staff were excellent, attentive but not intrusive. Review:It's All About the Atmosphere and then Some
Wooden Heads 192 Ontario Street - 613.549.1812 $5.01 - $15 Spacious restaurant in downtown Kingston, serves wood-oven baked pizzas with lots of unusual toppings. Cuisine: Pizza Recommended Dishes: Pizza Review:Gourmet Pizza on the Waterfront A very tasty alternative to take-away pizza, Wooden Heads is an extremely popular restaurant. Delicious ideas for pizzas or you can make your own. Good choice for families, as pizzas can range from plain old cheese and tomato to artichoke hearts and fresh basil. Indoor section is rather noisy, so try for the patio if weather permits. Review:Excellent Pizza This is one of the nicest restaurants in Kingston near the waterfront. Always go for the wood-oven baked pizza. Good atmosphere and a great location for people-watching. Woodenheads can get busy so I advise making a reservation.

Copper Penny 240 Princess St. - 613.549.4257 $5.01 - $15 Medium-sized family restaurant in downtown Kingston. Basic menu of burgers, nachos, sandwiches, salads. A few vegetarian choices. Cuisine: Family Recommended Dishes:Basket of fries, extra seasoning Review:Stop By For Some Copper Penny Fries My favourite spot in town for fries ever since I was a kid. A fairly basic, affordable menu, well prepared, and a friendly, if dark, atmosphere. But any Kingstonian (except for the vegetarians) will vouch for a basket of fries with extra seasoning... The nachos and French onion soup are also winners.
