Álora, city in the province of Málaga, southwestern Spain, located on the Guadalhorce River, 27 km (17 mi) northwest of the city of Málaga. Álora dates back to Roman times, when it was known as Iluro. The mild climate of the region and the sulfur springs located in the city have made Álora a popular resort.
