To call this restaurant´s kitchen British will not please Wullie, the owner of this restaurant, since he is a full blooded scotsman. The kitchen is very scottish too, as is the ambiance. Anyway, this is one of our favourite restaurants in the area. The food is excellent and the service is always great. Besides good food they have another specialty, namely an enormous collection of single malts. The owner will tell you everything you want to know about it and help you pick the best whisky for your taste.

Don Quijote Gedempte Nieuwesloot 11 - 072-5158847 Cuisine: Spanish Review:Great place. It´s a tiny tapas restaurant with a pub-like atmosphere. The food is very good, although a bit expensive. You can have an entire tapa diner, but we like to sit here all evening with friends and just order a couple of dishes from time to time.
Het Hof van Alkmaar Hof van Sonoy 1 - 072-5121222 Cuisine: Dutch / Belgian Review:Beautiful place in an ancient old folks home. The chef prepares food with a twist. Standard dishes are turned into something very nice by using unexpected spices or ingedients. The wines are good too and when weather permits you can eat in the lovely outdoor patio. We like to go here with friends as well as with customers.
