Pankow, district of northeastern Berlin, northeastern Germany, adjoining the community of Reinickendorf. In the area surrounding Pankow, electrical equipment and food products are manufactured. Pankow was the site of a prison fortress in which Germans accused of war crimes were held after World War II.
