Review: One of the Best
Cafe de Laos offers some of the best Thai and Laos food in Bangkok. The dishes are huge, the selection wide and the taste is awesome. The restaurant itself is set in a real nice wooden house with a garden so you can eat inside or out. The owner and the staff all speak English.

Cuisine: Mexican
Recommended Dishes: the chicken and fish dishes
Review: Best Mexican in Thailand
The food is great, the band terrific, the cocktails large and well made, what else could you want. well if I had to fault anything it would be some of the service, some of the waiters definitely aren't with it...and actually take offence if you decide to inform that they have made a mistake. Other than that it's a great place to eat, Dinner for 7 (one child) cost us 7200 Baht (inc the VAT + Service) and we all had a starter plus main cource a few drinks coffee and brandy...

Review: Traditional Thai food at its best !
The menu is extensive but my dining partners and I selected traditional Thai dishes to sample the true flavor of the restaurant. We were not disappointed. From the Tom Yam Goong to the Chicken in Galangal Coconut Milk Soup and Pat Thai Goong every dish was exceptional. The service was right on the money and the low-lit atmosphere was quite nice while watching the traffic of shoppers walk by our window.
Chantilly Restaurant Francais
Sathorn Suites Bldg, 31/1Narathiwat Ratchanakarin Rd - (66-02) 676-0909 moderate
Divided into two dining rooms the restaurant has a feel of a small european bistro with French decorations and lace curtains. The food is very good and reasonable as there is even a lunch set meal priced inexpensively. The proprietor is Thai yet speaks fluent French.
Cuisine: French
Recommended Dishes: Langoustines Thermidor (King Prawns), Chateaubriand Maitre d Hotel (for 2 persons)
Review: Paris has chateau de Chantilly, Bangkok has Chantill Restaurant Francais
Located next to the Empire Tower, the Chantilly Restaurant Francais is an easy walk from the Chong Nonsi skytrain station. Ms Manisa is the lovely hostess and proprietor who assures the standard of service is satisfactory for all guests and personally runs the kitchen as well as the dining areas. The food is excellent and there are many great dishes to select from all at reasonable prices.
Le Cafe Siam
4 Soi Akson, Chua Ploeng Rd, Rama IV - (66-02) 671-0030
A two storey colonial house built in 1921 by one of the engineers of the Royal Railway of Siam. It was later renovated by two French entrepreneurs to now house the Le Cafe Siam restaurant, a home with the elegance of a bygone era. There is an upstairs with cozy small rooms but the complete house is stuffed with handicrafts that are all for sale. The Thai and French menu are equally delicious and the garden area is especially nice to dine al freso during the cool months.
Cuisine: French
Recommended Dishes: French: Duck Breast....Thai: Deep Fried King Prawn (Khung Katiem Phrit Thai)
Review: French & Thai...not fusion, Two great menus !
We were greeted at the door on our first visit to this restaurant that is hidden amongst the trees and bushes that surround the property. The interior is lovely with all types of artifacts. The service was friendly and quick and our food which was basically French for myself and Thai food for my date was delicious as we tried a sample of many dishes and enjoyed every morsel.
Riley's Pub & Restaurant
Sukhumvit Soi 3 - 66-2-2551003 inexpensive
The restaurant has an atmosphere like a coffee shop with a bar. It offers a great view to the intersect of Sukhumvit and Sukhumvit Soi 3 and is conveniently located in the Nana area. They offer an all day menu that is very reasonably priced.
Cuisine: Mediterranean
Recommended Dishes: All the steaks are great
Review: Great location and the food aint bad either!
With a coffee shop type atmosphere this lovely little restaurant offers a full bar and some great food. Upstairs is a private room for functions and offers wide screen TV, pool table and darts. The menu is complete with Thai and International favorites all reasonably priced. They are open for breakfast all the way to 2AM. Try it, it is a great place for people watching during the afternoons.

A chalet type house with a lovely covered terrace outside with rooms on 2 or 3 levels. The proprietor is usually found in the kitchen as he was trained as a chef in Switzerland. The prices are reasonable and he offers dishes not often found in a traditional Swiss atmosphere.

Recommended Dishes: Traditional Basle Soup, Pork Tenderloin in a Cream sauce and the Racelette
Review: The food is authentic Swiss with Cheeses and Chocolates
Upon our arrival we were greeted at the door by one of the staff who welcomed us and politely escorted us to our table. We sat outside under a large fan and enjoyed the large terrace on this particularly cool evening. The food was exceptional and our host could not do enough to please our every request. He is not only the head chef but the manager.
Angelini Restaurant & Bar
New Road - 0-2236-7777 expensive
Cuisine: Italian
Recommended Dishes: Chocolate souffleé chocolate souffle
Review: Angelini Bangkok
This is a great restaurant and one of my favourite in Bangkok. It has two stories and the ambiance is fantastic. The dishes are changed quite often and the jazz band is great. I frequent this hotel restaurant because it is perfect for dining with friends and also with family.
Review: Superb Italian Restaurant
Fantastic Italian restaurant. We eat here every time we come to Bangkok even if we don't stay in the Shangri-La Hotel.
Silom Village
286 Silom Road - 02.235.8760 moderate
Offers a range of seafood and thai food as well as basic foreign items such as Pizza. The restaurant is a covered outdoor area in Silom Village.\n\nLive Thai music and dance performed evenings some evenings.
Cuisine: Fast Food
Review: Tourist Trap
Not a great place to go for good Thai seafood, caters to foreigners and doesn't offer many of the local favourites
Review: My favorite Thai restaurant
There is not a single visit to Bangkok when I don't have dinner at Silom Village. It's conveniently located, great selection of food and wines, and always a first class service in beautiful surroundings. Its appeal has never changed in the 20 years I've known Silom Village.
Athena Greek Restaurant
594 Ekkamai Rd, Sukhumvit 63 - (66-02) 392-7644 moderate
The building is painted predominantly in a loud blue and appears to be a transplant from Miami, Florida from the outside. The staff wears a Greek type of dress while the interior also has a Greek flair with Mediterranean music playing in the background. The restaurant seats about 40 persons
Cuisine: Bagels
Review: Greek Food is better in Athens
Although the interior looks a bit like a restaurant found in Greece there is less than the typical jovial and happy atmosphere found in restaurants on this lovely island. The staff looks as if they hate the outfits that they wear as they never look very happy or pleasant. The whole place has a "matter of fact" atmosphere and the food is Greek in style but less than acceptable in taste. The prices are too high as the soup I had was about 165 baht and the taste was only fair. The homemade bread is delightful but that is about the only thing that I enjoyed.
Duilio's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria
17 Sukhumvit Soi 49 - (66-02) 258-7930 moderate
True home-style Italian restaurant & Pizzaria with a wood burning oven to make 33 different type pizzas and a host of Italian dishes. There is an outside area for dining "al fresco" and the interior has about 3 different air-conditioned rooms. It is a short walk from the Thong Lo BTS skytrain station. The restaurant offers a fantastic lunch value for salads, pasta, and pizza while the dinner prices are still well in reason. they have a second location in Pattaya at 192 Central Road.
Cuisine: Italian
Review: Frustrated
