Important manufactures include textiles, clothing, metal products, chemicals, processed food, electrical and electronic equipment, machinery, and printed materials. The Korea Stock Exchange is located on Youido Island.
Seoul Railway Station is the terminus of the main north-south and east-west railway lines in South Korea. Seoul is also served by the major South Korean long-distance bus routes and major highways. Kimpo Airport, South Korea's international airport, is located about 20 km (about 12 mi) west of the city. A new, much larger airport is under construction on a set of islands off the western coast of South Korea.Microsoft® Encarta® Online Encyclopedia 2001 http://encarta.msn.com © 1997-2001 Microsoft Corporation.
