8 Treasures 4th Level, Bldg. A, SM Megamall, Edsa - 632. 6363780 to 84, 6363787 P250.01 to 500.00 The Triple V group of restaurants have been known for their great value and great price. This particular Triple V restaurant specializes in eat-all-you-can buffet of Chinese food. It has a relaxed atmosphere and ideal for family and business meetings. Cuisine: Chinese Review:Too Greasy For Me I was tempted to eat there because of the eat-all-you-can Chinese food. The food was great, there were lots of dishes served but the problem was--they were too greasy. The waiters were quick although their job really was just to clear your table and serve you water or drinks which would cost you a extra. The restaurant was clean, no doubt about it. It had a distinctive theme--Chinese. There were Chinese lanterns hanging on one corner and characters on some places. Red was a dominant color, probably because red is the lucky color in China. Maybe I'm just not used to Chinese food or maybe the cooking style here is from a different part in China. I remember that the Chinese food in San Francisco tasted differently--less greasy. Everyone should try eating there at least once and see for themselves if it's worth going back.
Cabalen 4th Floor, Bldg. B SM Megamall, EDSA - +63 2. 6331761 P250.01 to 500.00 Cuisine: Asian Review:Not Worth The Wait Who could resist a buffet of Filipino dishes? Lower than the price of other establishments offering buffet, boy, was I tempted to try this out. There were too many people inside and the line outside was long. We were asked to wait for more than 30 minutes (which is long, by the way, when you're in Manila). The food was okay, although the binagoongan was too sweet, the skin of the lechon was not crunchy, and some of the foods were not replaced quickly. The halo-halo ran out of ice and so the line to that table became long. The whole place had a traditional Filipino look. Wooden table with matching wooden chairs. However, some chairs were rickety, I thought they were going to fall apart. I would recommend this restaurant to balikbayans or those Filipinos who have been abroad for a long time. But for the rest, you might want to run to the food court if you want delicious Filipino dishes.
