Takatsuki, city, Japan, southern Honshu Island, in Osaka Prefecture, on the Yodo River. It is an industrial center situated approximately midway between the cities of Osaka and Kyoto. Major manufactures include electrical equipment and pharmaceuticals. The city is the site of Osaka Medical College (1927), and Settsu Gorge, a popular scenic point, is nearby.
