Jakarta Restaurants - Pictures

Ayam Goreng Ny. Suharti
Jl Kapt. Tendean 13, Jakarta Selatan - 021 5206955 very cheap
The restaurant main manu is "Ayam Goreng" or Fried Chicken. The recipe originated from Yogyakarta deserved to be rank number one in all Fried Chicken chain restaurant. The fried chicken is well marinated and deep fryed (not as oily as KFC!!!)other menu is available. The food is a traditional menu from Central Java. Drinks also excellent here, you can find most of the traditional/ street food but certainly cleaner here. When you enter the restaurant you can just feel the change of the atmosphere, the restaurant dim light and the Javanese music background send you back to Jogya in an instant. Cost of food is not too expensive. 1 whole chicken will cost you about Rp. 30.000 or about US$3.00. Total bill for 2 is about Rp. 80.000 or about US$8.00 including drinks, tax and gratuity. Not bad at all!!

French and Dutch Cuisine, a neighborhood bistro in Kemang. Casual and shabby chic atmosphere with street-watching view. 60 seating combined for indoor, patio and outdoor sections. \n\nSpecialty of the estbalishment: Fondue de Bourgogne.
Cuisine: Breakfast / Brunch
Recommended Dishes: Salmon l'Ancienne
Review: Wonder food and ambiance
Nice ambiance with Bossanova or Cafe del mar music in the background. The food is excellent, the Escargot with garlic sauce is a good way to start your meal. For a full course meal try the Fillet Mignon or Salmon. If you still have room, try the Cappucino Splash with Hazelnut flavor. It's filling but worth it.
Batavia
Pasaraya Grande Basement - no phone inexpensive
Review: Kota Batavia
Located on the corner of Pasaraya Grande Basement, a place well known for all kinds of food from all region in Indonesia. Kota Batavia has it's own door that seperated them from the rest of the food court. Upon entering the city gate you will be given a passport to be used when you are ordering your food. The passport will be stamped and you pay for the bill just before you exit the city after a glorious meal. The food excellent.. you can find Nasi Goreng Kambing Kebon Sirih, Bakmie Naga, Nasi Liwet Dharmawangsa, Gado-Gado Cemara or Ayam Goreng Fatmawati all under the same roof. It's a perfect place to hang out with a your friends if you can't decide where to go when people want different place to eat. Kota Batavia is very spacious, and waiters are really friendly. So .. give it a try
Pondok Laguna
Jl Batu Tulis Raya No 45-47 - 62 21 3459992
Accompanied by the sound of the fountain in the background you would enjoy the food prepared in Pondok Laguna. Pondok Laguna specialized in Indonesian traditional cuisine. The “fried gureme” is outstanding, sayur asem or indonesian sour vegetable soup, barbequed fish and chicken is also among the best in town. Every order usually followed by warm rice placed in a banana leaves covered basket and small pallets of sambal. For drinks, you can always order a regular ice tea that is highly irregular.. The tea they use is very aromatic and nice. Freshly squeezed orange juice and coconut is also popular. Situated in the middle of Jakarta, this restaurant is very popular. It is always crowded even in weekdays. Just remember that during weekday, the 2nd floor, which has air, conditioned usually is not opened. So.. dress comfortably.

The best steak is sirloin steak (but it's depends on the person) ...the price depends how many grams you ordered...cointains 200 grams..250 grams..and 300 grams.. Perfect size for Asian stomach, unfortunatelly for you foreigners who love steaks.. one might not enough. But I like the place because it's really romantic!!! The restaurant is located on Chase's Building top floor overlooking Jakarta main street, Jalan Sudirman. With a piano background, candle light on each table for sure this is the right place for a romantic dinner or just a great place for steak.

Or a simple dessert of Banana Roll with a glass of Lemon Tea in a hot sunny afternoon.
Tomodachi Cafe
Jl KH. Ahmad Dahlan No 16A (Radio Dalam) - 724-6924 moderate
Great cafe in Jakarta's suburb area. The cafe is not too big but has a cozy atmosphere. Tomodachi is a great family restaurant as well as a cool place to hang out with your buddies. The ice coffee is out of the planet.. GREAT with capital G. The Chicken Courdon Bleu is nice and moist but not soggy. The french fries that served with most of the meals are great.. McDonald eat your heart out!! here comes a great french fries. Chicken Tomodachi and Beef Tomodachi seems to be the patron's favorite. Don't forget to try the Rani's Fajita Salad, combination of red cabbage, cheese and lettuce with eggs and olives served on top of crispy fajita with great dressing which's has a spicy touch. Excellent course. Puff Paste Chowder Soup seems to be another patron's favorite too. The price is not too expensive and the service is great.
