Firozabad, city in north central India, in western Uttar Pradesh state, located at the northern edge of the Deccan Plateau. More than half of the workforce is engaged in manufacturing activities. Glass bangles made in Firozabad are famous throughout India. The city is also an important market center. A major rail line and national highway connect Firozabad to Kolkata and Delhi.
