Review:French food in India Going to India to get French food is a little misguided, but in the former French colony of Pondicherry, you can nearly succeed. Rendezvous has quality food at good prices. It's not as good as what you can find in the countryside of France, but it does come pretty close. When I was there, they had the most bizarre copy of the Mona Lisa you'll ever see. The waiters (of which there were many) were solicitous and reasonably attentive.

Review:Good hard, bad soft First time I dropped in to the central location of this chain (there's at least one other), it was to savor the air conditioning and buy a mostly frozen bottle of mineral water (and mostly frozen is the best way to go). Later I tried the ice cream. The hard ice creams were very good, but the soft-serve ice cream was somewhat rancid.
