Wenzhou, city in eastern China, in Zhejiang Province, a port on the Ou River. Wenzhou is in a mountainous region. Locally produced lumber, tea, and oranges are the principal exports. Manufactures include processed food and wood and paper products. The city was founded in the 4th century AD.
